Roads and rail
Our roads and rail involvement includes expertise in hydrology, hydrogeology, geotechnical
investigations, material investigations, vibration monitoring and subsurface utility engineering
(utility location).
Example projects include geotechnical investigations for the Taj Mall interchange, Outer Ring-Thika
Road overpass, Kariobangi Roundabout overpass, Mtwapa bypass interchange on Mombasa Road
and several bridges. For rail, we have provided blast vibration and compaction vibration assessments
and drainage assessments.
Another aspect of this infrastructure is water supply for construction. We have located boreholes for
road construction for over 1000 kilometres of road.
